DRILLER

Despite it being utilized for a whole of about 30 seconds in the actual game, the Driller is a fairly fun and relatively innovative concept for a vehicle, and it's really unfortunate that it comes and goes so quickly. A heavily armored beast to be sure, the Driller runs at a snail like pace and ain't exaclty the most nimble thing under the sun. For its geo-modding feature you just ram straight into a wall and engage the drill bits to start making your way through solid rock. If you ever get caught in a wall or just want to know what's around you, you can cycles between four viewpoints (forward, reverse, left, right) to give yourself a good idea of where you're at.

  • Primary Fire: Engages drill units.
  • Alternate Fire: Cycles through four points of view.
  • Pros: Nice concept, and it creates enormous geo-mods.
  • Cons: Only in the game for about 30 seconds and using it is not even necessary. It's very slow, and the way it geo-mods is pretty crappy. It's not a smooth movement through the rock like you'd think. Instead you move forward, hit the rock, stop, rock gets drilled and creates an enormous geo-mod, you move forward some more, stop, and repeat. It also gets caught on stuff way too often.
  • Recommendation: It's barely even in there, so when you see it you might as well use it and enjoy.
